Capacity Building workshop for Coalition Partners :

Capacity Building workshop was organized for Coalition partner on 29th August 2009 at Hotel Indiana pride, Jaipur 28 participants from Govt Medical & Health Department, Civil society & schools participated in the workshop. Training started with welcome and introduction of participant. Narendra Singh, Program coordinator described the Objective of this capacity building workshop & he discussed details of section 4, 5 and 6 of COTPA and smoke free rules-2008.  He also described the efforts of Rajasthan coalition for Tobacco Control. Dr.Rakesh Gupts, President Rajasthan cancer foundation shared his experiences & focused on the decision making process in tobacco quitting. Shri Dharamveer Ketawa, Secretary, Indian Asthma Care Society shared his long fighting with the law enforcement agencies to enforce provisions of COTPA. Dr.A.U Rahaman, Chief Investigator,  Mahaveer Cancer Hospital, detailed out his tobacco cessation experience.
